New NYC Restaurant: Ko
This week's new restaurant offering isn't quite there yet, but it's exactly the kind of place you'll want to know about as soon as it does open, sometime in the next few months. Why do we feel the need to give you a head's up? Because super cool chef David Chang is behind it, and the concept's great.
Ko--no website yet--will be located in the old Momofuku space on First Avenue, meaning it will be tiny, with bar seating only. Each night will offer a prix fixe dinner menu depending on what's fresh that day and what the chef, Peter Serpico, feels like making. We love the idea of going night after night and never having the same thing twice! Reservations will be harder to get than tickets to The Stones, but they will be available online only, to the delight of the egalitarian foodie masses everywhere.
As soon as we hear more, we'll be updating you. In the meantime, head to Momofuku and partake in some yummy pork buns or the seasonal pickle plate to tide you over 'til it's Ko time.
