Norwegian Air Plans to Ruin Your Flight

While a host of airlines both foreign and domestic figure out what they're doing on the in-flight WiFi front, a budget airline in Scandinavia is working to make the whole Internet available in mid-air. Norwegian Air Shuttle, a low cost carrier with destinations throughout Europe, will outfit its fleet with both web access and cell phone service by the fourth quarter of 2008.

In addition to WiFi and mobile phone coverage, VoIP calls will also be allowed so you can talk to your buddies in Timbuktu on the cheap.

So far there's been no mention of how much the service might cost. Here's hoping that jabbering away on a cell is prohibitively expensive.
