The gold rush may be long over in this once-rough-and-tumble town, but Sacramento's still a great place to find something precious... or should we say, someone precious. Just don't bring your pickaxe to these hot spots:

Jack's Urban Eats -- This local soup-and-sandwich chain (not to be confused with Jack-in-the-Box) is a great place to pick up a Thai salmon salad and show off your tattoos. 2756 East Bidwell St.

Fox & Goose -- Order the fish and chips to stay at this traditional pub and the Brit to go. 1001 R St.
