New York Times Unearthing More "Trends"

The New York Times just released the latest issue of its annoyingly upscale T Magazine: Travel and it's full of the usual really-stretching-it destinations and trends. (Moscow is the new Dallas? Riiight.)

Among other "news," apparently Columbus is the new capital for Midwestern style. (Did the t-shirt wearing Skybus flight attendants have anything to do with it?) A writer who hasn't visited Nicaragua for years went back to find out that it's still a tranquil place with a troubled past it's trying to shed. But we already knew that. (And the Times covered this "trend" last year.)

For all the dreck, though, there were some highlights. A look at Nashville without country music is a great take on a great city. We also liked Sleeping with the Enemy, a run down of what's become of former drug villas and dictator hangouts. You bet Pablo Escobar's Casa Magna in Tulum, Mexico makes the list.
