The college football season is in full swing, so where are the best road-trip worthy stadiums? We've got the teams, the games and the shenanigans covered on our College Football Travel map.

The Texas Longhorns and their 21-year-old quarterback Colt McCoy are off to an impressive start this year, and undoubtedly have their sights set on a national championship after last year's hit-and-miss season. The Longhorns have yet to face any conference opponents, but have been looking good so far on their home field, Austin's Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Texas will host both Nebraska and Texas Tech later this year, but the 'Horns biggest game will be played in Dallas: The Red River Rivalry against arch rivals Oklahoma.

The venue:
Texas Memorial Stadium is in the heart of the Austin campus, and that means parking is a problem. If you don't mind riding a shuttle bus, the Huddle Shuttle operates out to distant parking lots and will ferry you to the game for $2. To skip the hassle, drop by Champions, a few blocks south of campus to watch the action on 24 plasma TVs.

At the Stadium:
Tailgating is of course part of the fun, and it happens all around the stadium. Starting at 7 am on game days, the area closest to the stadium is closed to traffic, making it a great place to wander around and get pumped for the action. Just make sure you're not wearing the crimson or cream of Oklahoma, or you might be asking for trouble. (Seriously.)

Insider's Tip:
You'll want to get your "Hook 'em" gesture down, as you'll be holding it up all game. You'll also score points by saying "O Who?" instead of "O-U" when referencing the Sooners.

Need an Austin hotel before or after the game? HotelChatter has you covered.
