Emmys: Great For LA, Bad for Jersey

Katherine Heigl (Best Supporting Actress in a Drama) and America Ferrera (Best Actress in a Comedy) were among the many garlanded  at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards last night. Yes, we fell asleep a few times, but the show sure beat those VMAs!

The Emmy Awards can claim many champions tonight, having given out some 34 awards just in last night's telecast. One place perhaps affronted: Westwood, New Jersey, home of James Gandolfini, who shared in "The Sopranos"' win for Best Drama but was passed over for Best Actor. (It went instead to James Spader, for his work on "Boston Legal," coincidentally, the city of his birth.)
