The Dark Knight Blows Up Brach's Candy Factory

Where: Cicero Avenue [map], Chicago, IL, United States

Back on Wednesday a massive explosion leveled the old Brach's candy factory on Chicago's West Side. Don't worry, it wasn't a terrible accident, it was part of the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight", which is currently being filmed in Chicago. Firefighters were on hand to extinguish the flames once the crew had their shot -- it was a one shot take.

Turns out the old building on Cicero Avenue and Lake Street was doubling as Gotham General Hospital in the new movie. Filming in Chicago is set to wrap in the next couple of days, however, if you get out on the streets of Chicago soon, you may still get to get a glimpse of Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini.
