New Cruises: Sail the Indian Ocean
August 31, 2007 at 9:30 AM | 0 Comments

Take a look at a world map and it won't take long to find an ideal spot for cruising that isn't really on the cruise agenda yet: the massive expanse of the Indian Ocean. Cruise company Costa Crociere are planning to fill this gap with a new itinerary starting in December this year. (Don't worry, sharing a dinner table with grumpy retirees isn't on the itinerary.)
Billed as Indian Ocean cruises, on the 14-day version you'll start in Mauritius and then sail to exotic spots like Kenya, Madagascar, the Seychelles and Reunion Island. If you've got more time and even more taste for the exotic, you can add Yemen, Jordan and Egypt to the mix and spend 27 days at sea. Will this make the Indian Ocean the new Caribbean?
