One Velib, Si'l Vous Plait

Quite a few European cities are up to speed with short-term bicycle rents located at strategic places around the city center--especially those environmentally sound, health-loving Scandinavians. But this month the Parisians have got on their bike, too.
Their scheme is called Veilb, and after registering and paying a small fee, you can grab a bike at 750 different locations and return it to another spot if you want. It's designed for short trips so the first half hour is free, and then it gets progressively more expensive.
In true French style, the website only seems to be available in French, but we are told that the rental display machines speak eight different languages (and they're even polite and friendly).
