Adventures of Link: Where To Watch Fireworks

June 28, 2007 at 5:38 PM | by | Comments (4)

The Fourth of July is coming and while every town in the U.S. worth its salt has a fireworks extravaganza, now is the time to choose your gawking spot. Remember, the largest fireworks display in the world is not in the U.S. it is in Madeira. For that matter, the largest fireworks show in the U.S. isn't even on the 4th, it is Thunder over Louisville, which celebrates the Kentucky Derby during the first week of May.

That said, there are plenty of killer spots to stake out if you are into bombs bursting in air. If none of these viewpoints grab you, just buy yourself a pack of sparklers and head to the nearest beach.

Lahaina, Maui to Have Fireworks Show

I wish I could watch the fireworks show from Lahaina from one of the boat cruises.

Why can't you?

From your user name it sounds like you are in Hawaii?  No?

Actually, No

I'm a frequent visitor to Hawaii, getting back there as often as I can and can afford.

What may be perceived as a weakness (e.g. I don't live there) is actually a strength.  I'm able to think like a tourist, because I am one.  GoVisitHawaii is targeted towards folks thinking about or planning a vacation to Hawaii, though I do have some faithful readers from Hawaii.  Several kind readers from Hawaii have told me they were surprised to find out that I don't live there because the coverage of the islands was good.  OK, please pardon my self pat on the back.

By the way, I just discovered Jaunted recently and love the site!

Cool

Welcome aboard.

Looking forward to reading your Hawaii and travel comments on Jaunted.

Checked out GoVistiHawaii as well, looks like a cool blog, will add to my RSS feeds.

Cheers,

Mark
