Don's Place Has Penguins

We know that ex-Lonely Planet head honcho Don George has already launched a mag called RECCE, and now we're taking a look at his friendly website called Don's Place.

Features include destination stories, interviews, an adventure blog and our personal pick, the "Ask Don" column. Questions here from curious readers include when the best time is take a safari in eastern Africa (short answer: whenever; long answer: ask Don), and tips on swimming with penguins in the Galapagos Islands. And, intriguingly, someone wanted to know how Antarctic penguins avoid getting dehydrated: for the record, they seem to have inbuilt desalination equipment. Now you know.
