Tune Hotels Sets the Standard for Truth in Advertising

No frills, indeed. Tune Hotels, the budget chain brainchild of Air Asia CEO Tony Fernandes, is an unusual beacon of honesty in the travel world. The first Tune Hotel has opened in Kuala Lumpur, so we decided to revisit the chain's website and check out just how free of frills it is. We particularly dug this friendly note:
TowelsYou mean it's never occurred to you to use half of your carry-on space for a bath towel from home? The peppy incredulousness is heart-warming. 'Course, traveling with a towel is common among hardcore backpackers, who are likely to be interested in Tune, but even the most intrepid among that set won't be stuffing an AC unit into their backpacks. Yep, Tune charges for air conditioning too, among other things.
Forgot to pack one from home? No worries! A range of affordable towels are available at our convenience store, starting from the basic range @ RM9.99++ to superior range @ RM14.99++
We, however, are not complaining. Single rooms at the Tune Hotel in downtown KL are under $14 a night, all-in.
