Movie Set Travel: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, and Geoffrey Rush are back in their pirate garb.

In the third installment, out today, Captain Barbossa, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann must sail off the edge of the map, navigate all sorts of unseemly pirate troubles, and make their final alliances for one last decisive battle, unless they all get enough money to do a fourth movie that is.

Parts of the movie were once again filmed in the Bahamas and Dominica.

Bahamas:

Where To Go
We love Harbor Island. Hang out on the gorgeous pink sand beach, drink some Kalik, then ask the locales take you in a boat to some of the more exotic filming locations on the out islands.

For island mansion freeloading type stays, try Rock House Bahamas on Harbor Island.

Dominica:

Where To Go
Dominica has a rain forest and plenty of beaches, but it is the year of the pirate--glom on to the many pirate and pirate movie themed tours and activities on the island.

Where To Stay
There is an eco-lodge on Dominica called Jungle Bay and the owner is active online, always a good sign.
