MySpacers Protest Delta Airlines Widget Circumcision

May 15, 2007 at 9:54 AM | 2 Comments

Airline junkies are the best.

Delta Air Lines emerges from bankruptcy with talk of leather seats, on plane HBO, and signature drinks. However, all people on the series of tubes want to talk about is their widget circumcision.

What?

The new Delta Airlines tail paint job will take far less paint than the old design, thus adding less weight to the craft and requiring less fuel. Furthermore they are ditching the waving-flag design, which now equals bankruptcy and replacing it with a return of their classic livery, the widget.

A return of the seventies widget! This got airline grokkers in a frenzy. That is until the new livery images were released. The widget was now turned on its side and circumcised. How dare Delta. Immediately, Keep The Widget Whole kicked into action on MySpace, promising to create an official petition that would make Delta Air Lines "seriously reconsider their proposed livery, and re-design it such that the widget remains whole." Thus far, 64 MySpacers, including "Erictile Dysfunction 2007", "Chasey-Bear", and even Tom himself, have virtually signed the petition by adding KTWW as their friend.

And Delta thought people would just sit back and watch them circumcise a perfectly good widget.

    More Delta MySpace

As widget mentioned above, check out Keep Delta Flying as well for rotating flying widgets and a touching homage to the Queen of the Sky.

@widget: I am guessing you are anti widget cutting?
