Blow Your Tax Refund at Asiate

If you're in NYC, looking for an amazing view, a blend of French and Asian cuisine, and have some serious cash (or a whole tax refund to blow!) head to Asiate, at the striking Mandarin Oriental on Columbus Circle.
You might spend the evening surrounded by wealthy businessmen and their mistresses, but you'll soon be captivated by menu items like Suckling Pig with Pig Cheek Confit and Japonegi Sauce and Steamed Roasted Chicken Breast with Hickory Salt and Smoked Foie Gras. The best items on the menu came in the form of surprises - like a tuna amuse with carrot mousse and miniature gruyere popovers to start.
The service is excellent, and there's something about being on top of the city and looking out over Central Park that lends a powerful-if unrealistic sense of satisfaction. Just don't expect an early reservation, but not to worry, you can blow the rest of your refund on the tasty, pricey drinks in the adjacent bar. Go live it up for one night!
