So now Howie Mandel would have to say, "OK, the board is getting worse. However, you are going to have to run through all those flights to have the on-time flight be in your case"--audience golf claps, you flip the channel.

13 out of 14 JetBlue flights out of Boston's Logan Airport last night, were delayed. Yes, it was raining, and at one point the rain did turn into sleet for a half hour or so. We checked Continental's flights and they were not having any noticeable issues last night.

Our flight? Scheduled for a 7:50 departure ended up leaving just before 9:30. To the pilots credit he did make up a ton of time in the air and we ended up landing only thirty minutes late--not bad at all.

One more thing to note, the buzz in the JetBlue terminal "I told you we shouldn't be flying JetBlue--they are never on time". Now we know airport delays are par for the course, and watching DirectTV plus having extra leg room sure does help make up for any delays, but at some point JetBlue is going to have to figure out where the bottleneck is at JFK and BOS and right the ship or plenty of customers are going to change the channel.

    JetBlue at BOS

    Yesterday the weather in NYC was really not good at all - not only was it pouring all day but it was windy too. That's not a good situation for the airports - so I would definitely give JetBlue the benefit of the doubt.

    To REALLY understand JetBlue's performance on this route, take a look at the flights today between JFK and Boston. The weather in NY is much calmer, so this is a much more fair way to see if JetBlue is really on-time or not - without outside factors such as the weather.

    You also claim:

    "We checked Continental's flights and they were not having any noticeable issues last night."

    This is wrong. I checked continental.com and one flight was cancelled, 2 arrived 30 minutes late, 1 arrived an hour late, 2 arrived 2-3 hours late, and two arrived over 3 hours late! Compared with JetBlue, Continental was much more of a mess.

    In fairness....

    We only checked a couple Continetal flights, so their could have been some delayed.  I should have shot a pic of their board for comparison.  Next time.

    I'm a casualty of JFK.

    Actually, I'm in BTV right now -- my flight was scheduled for wednesday night to JFK and through to SEA. JetPurple screwed up the JFK flight yesterday so I had to wait 24 hours to do the exact same route... and then the same thing happened today. They then told me that the flight to JFK tomorrow is full so they can't do anything for me.

    Unreal.

    Considering BOS was in a one runway configuration that day due to a ground delay program all flights at Logan were running behind.  BOS ATC required greater sequencing of departing and arriving traffic resulting in many delays.  Don't blame JetBlue on this one, everyone was affected.  Additionally, JFK was running a ground delay program as well.
