We prefer our blind items on the scandalous side, but then again, rarely do the gossip rags dip into the travel publishing world. We'll take what we can get. This ran in the New York Daily News on Tuesday:

Which new editor of a major travel magazine was denied entry to China on her first trip in the job after her passport was stolen in-flight?
"Stolen in-flight?" That means she lost misplaced lost it, right? Could the editor in question be Heidi Sherman Mitchell, who was brought aboard Town & Country Travel, Town & Country's quarterly travel magazine, in October? Mitchell is a former associate editor of Travel + Leisure.
