ANA Lets You Visualize Your Suffering in 3D

ANA's new Flash seat maps are no substitute for SeatGuru, but they are nice to look at. The real advantage of these things is that they allow you to better mentally prepare yourself for a packed flight in steerage. A little orange stick man even takes your seat for you once you request it at checkout. To ANA's credit, at least they're upfront about where the lavatories are, which is not the case for all airlines' booking engines. This is especially important on those New York to Tokyo flights, which are unpleasant enough even when you aren't sitting directly across from the john. We've done that route on ANA and found it tolerable, but that was back in the days of Connexion. Fliers no longer have the option of logging on to AIM to complain about the throbbing pain in their legs.
