R2D2 Mailbox Map: Droid Mail on the Road

Contribute your R2D2 mailbox locations by uploading your photo, with mailbox address to the Jaunted Flickr Photo Pool, or sending us the photo and street address via email.

To promote a new Star Wars 30th Anniversary the U.S. Postal Service announced a new stamp pane featuring 15 Star Wars stamps available until May 25.

To generate buzz for this promotion, in March, the USPS placed somewhere between 200 and 400 mailboxes throughout the nation, all dressed up as Artoo units--cool. Here is a list of the cities with R2D2 mailboxes.

We have seen a couple of these mailboxes in person and decided to put them on a map for y'all.

Many R2 mailbox photos and city locations exist on Flickr and on Frappr, but our hope is to detail the exact location of many R2D2 mailboxes, just in case you want to see one up close an personal. The best news? With so many cities on the list, odds are you won't have to travel far to see the droid mail units.
