Spinal Tap Reunion: This Concert Goes To 11

This summer's "Live Earth" concert series, founded by Al Gore, Global Warming Superman, promised to be another star-studded charity "awareness" event we would probably miss... until we read about one of the London performers in the July 7 show. We nearly choked on someone else's vomit when we heard Spinal Tap would be reuniting for a 15-minute set live from London's Wembley Stadium.
The group immortalized in Christopher Guest's 1984 mockumentary "This Is Spinal Tap" may not understand what global warming is, but they want to help, says Rob Reiner, who played the filmmaker: "They're not that environmentally conscious, but they've heard of global warming," said Reiner. "Nigel [Tufnel, lead guitarist] thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing -- that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler." Sounds worth a trip -- and the fabulous new Haymarket Hotel will be open by then.
