First Reaction:
Upon arriving, the place was pretty packed both inside and at the outside dining tables. Remember, we're talking lunch on a Thursday. Crazy.
Anyhow, we were seated along the wall in a dark leather banquette, meaning we had to sit next to our dining partner. This turned out ok because guess what? We're married. But speaking of seating, the interior of Ford's Filling Station is filled with dark wood furniture, a dark wood bar and some neutral paint on the walls. And if you look closely, you can see the "filling station" aspect of it all. Like the metal awning over the bar that looks as if it was inspired by old gas stations on Route 66 somewhere in the desert.
Service:
The servers were nice but a bit spacey. It's also annoying to have one person seat you, one person take your drink order, one person take your meal order, and then another person to ask how everything is before giving you the check. And we wonder, who is really getting the tip? Also, they gave us the dinner menu to look at and when we made our choices, they said, "Oh, you have the wrong menu."

Food:
Now to what you've been waiting for. We started with the cured salami, which was great, but looking back we should have ordered some fine cheese to go with it. We also split a butter leaf lettuce salad which was good, not great, but then again we don't expect much from salads.
For our main courses, we had the Crispy Chicken Breast (above, top) and the Pub burger (above) both of which were delicious, although a pretty heavy lunch. We practically had to be rolled outta there. Other reviewers like the flatbread pizza, the original selection of beer and the mostly organic ingredients found on the menu. Just remember, whatever time you go, make a reservation!
Insider Tip: Street parking out front is usually non-existent so make good use of the public and free garage around the corner.
