Happy Birthday Continues at Disneyland Paris

April 13, 2007 at 11:50 AM | 0 Comments

Just as we predicted, the Disneyland Resort Paris is trying to get major mileage out of its not-very-important 15th birthday this year. Perhaps it's not sure it'll get to 20?

But while some kinds of celebrating have been going on for a while now--including, by popular demand, a major increase in the amount of public appearances by Disney characters--others haven't quite got off the ground yet. Toon Studios, including two rides unique to Paris, is set to open in June, and the Stitch Encounter, for those keen on a bit of animated alien interaction, should be ready still later in the year.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will miss the birthday year altogether, finally scheduled to open in 2008 after construction work began in 2002. Isn't it kinda selfish to spin out a birthday celebration for so long? We hope they're not expecting us to bring presents.
