Discovery Channel Says: You Can't Handle the Truth!

Update: The above photo, along with all the photos here, are of the real Anguilla. We don't have the images from "Discovery Channel's Anguilla"....yet. If you have 'em, send 'em. Also: Looks like there are plenty of beautiful Anguilla beaches--many suitable for a commercial--what gives?

They say it in actions, if not words. That's because a current Discovery Channel commercial features some suspicious views of "Anguilla" called into question by a commenter at the Perrin Post. After the Post weighed in on the Tennessee/Alaska snafu, commenter lorib mentioned this:

The ad that bothers me right now is the Discovery Channel "Club 1080". You can win a trip to a destination, and when they feature Anguilla, they show a waterfall and lush green surroundings. I think they confused that footage with Costa Rica, as the Anguilla I have visited multiple times is arid and no waterfalls that I could find - they do have a few cliffs, so maybe during a heavy rain.
lorib adds that Anguilla is nonetheless a wonderful place, but the view in the ad doesn't quite add up. We've never been to Anguilla, but believe lorib is correct and the island has no real waterfalls. To add insult to injury, a Los Angeles Times article from 2006 did call Anguilla "downright homely."
