The Rocks Market in Sydney

April 13, 2007 at 12:49 PM | by | Comments (0)

A while back on our Australian Field Trip, we hit up the Rocks Market held on Saturday and Sunday mornings right next to the Old Holiday Inn Sydney in the Rocks district.

Here you can walk up and down the block which is tented and find all sorts of charming little knick knacks such as jewelry, books, kiddie toys, artwork and clothing.

Our purchase was from Bristol and Brooks which makes handcrafted photo albums with a cutout design on the front. You can choose from 10 different designs in different background colors and these are mostly Australian, like Kangaroos, Koalas, the Harbor Bridge, and the Sydney Opera House. Also included is the 'magic dots' which help stick your photos to the page.

It's a tad touristy but at least it's not some mass-produced boomerang with the Australian flag printed on it. Although, they sell those at the Rocks Market too.

The medium-sized photo album by Bristol and Brooks for $45AUD.
