The long line of songs about airports continues. Today's number is aptly titled "The Airport Song," and it was inspired by Los Angeles International Airport. LAX? Inspiring? We know, but this was also written back in the day when air travel was known to be charming once in a while. "The Airport Song," a David Crosby and Jim McGuinn collaboration, surfaced on a collection of early Byrds recordings called Preflyte. You can find it on iTunes or, most likely, the illicit source of your choosing. Considering the skill with which Crosby delivers this wistful melody, we can only assume that the airport was a stupendous place to get stoned in '64. Why else would the dude have been hanging out there?

LA International Airport song which is country, can be found on iTunes under artist Susan Raye, total one-hit wonder, and is the official song of LAX.

Also my dad sings this to me everytime I fly back to LA. Aww....
