Cruisers Fall Overboard, Keep Vacationing

Cruise line officials are trying to figure out how two passengers managed to fall at least 50 feet from a ship's balcony into the Gulf of Mexico Sunday, where they were rescued hours later."You cannot just fall off a ship," said Princess Lines' spokeswoman Julie Benson, describing the occurrence as "extremely rare ... this hasn't happened to Princess, that I can recall."
Would you slip out a cruise cabin window just for attention? No one's going so far as to accuse this weekend's anonymous American cruisers of living out an Open Water fantasy completely on purpose. Yet the post-slip chatter points to an air of suspicion regarding just how two people fell off their Princess ship. What could possibly be the middle ground between an intentional fall (effectively a suicide attempt) and foul play (being pushed over)?
Being wasted, of course! (No one's confirming the booze theory, but you should know better.) The best part of this whole thing is that after the man and woman overboard were rescued, they opted to continue the cruise, and it simply hauled ass towards Mexico as planned.
