Tennessee Is the New Alaska

The truth-in-advertising crisis within the travel industry isn't over yet (and probably never will be). First, there was the great Nepal-Peru scandal: Royal Nepal Airlines used a picture of Machu Picchu in one of its ads. That's a bad one. At least New Zealand only had itself to battle with when its designers went a little Photoshop-crazy.
But that's not all. A Tennessee tourism campaign conveniently swiped its visuals from Alaska. A cyclist busted Tennessee when he noticed the ad while flipping through Outside magazine during a lunch break. At least the victimized destination was on the same continent as the offender this time. It's a step in the right direction.
