Spring has sprung! But that's creating a lot of headaches (and hay fever) over in Japan: every year, there are endless worries and stress over when the cherry trees will bloom. With numerous social and company events in outdoor parks scheduled around the cherry blossom season, accurate predictions are what everyone's striving for.

Rescheduling of parties and barbies is in full swing; if you've planned a trip to Japan to catch the season, you might miss out. What surprises us is that with all that technological know-how, the Japanese haven't come up with a way to control the blossoming schedule of their cherry trees.
