Jaunted tipster Jim wrote in to remind us that today's March 1. So what, you say? That means you've got six weeks to get ready for one of the biggest multi-sport races in the country: the Ridge 2 River Relay scheduled for April 14 in Wenatchee, Washington.
The course includes downhill and cross country skiing at Mission Ridge ski area, a bicycle leg from the ski area to another nearby town, a running segment, and then a kayak or canoe down the whitewater of the Wenatchee River. Once racers reach the confluence with the Columbia River, they then pull into a downtown park in Wenatchee. The final leg is a brutal portage to the finish line.
Sure you can put together a team of your buddies, but wouldn't victory be sweeter after running the whole 35-mile course yourself? Better start training today, tough guy.
