Jamiroquai Takes it To the Skies

March 1, 2007 at 9:05 AM | by | Comment (1)

Funk rockers Jamiroquai (you know, the future - virtual insanity...) are having a tough time getting gigs these days apparently. The band just played a mini-concert in a Boeing 757 -- while mid-flight from Munich to Athens.

In an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of World Records, the band rocked out on the flight for fans, and also took home the Highest Gig in the World Record (funny, we thought that went to Jerry Garcia?) for their feat. They even had to battle some turbulence, with lead singer Jay Kay grabbing the overhead bins to keep upright. Talk about a flight you can't wait to get off of....

After it all ended, Kay announced he's quitting music altogether. Good thinking.
