JetBlue Loves Stranded Customers So Much, It Won't Let Them Leave

Lest we get too obsessed with JetBlue here, it turns out there was a bit of hostage situation yesterday. Yes, it was the worst Valentine's Day ever for, among others, a couple headed to Aruba on their honeymoon. The JFK-Aruba flight, originally scheduled to leave yesterday morning, eventually took off at night, but another flight to Cancun, Mexico, was held for at least nine hours before being canceled.

At least four flights encountered hellish delays, including 1060, to Austin, and 850, to Ft. Myers. Gothamist has links to passengers' reports given to the Post and ABC. Were you on one of the affected flights? First, buy yourself a massage, then let us know about it (the flight, not the massage) via email or in the new-and-improved comments section.

I was a hostage. And it was not a piece of cake to have your valentines day ruined with four screaming babies and 3 others running around on a FULL flight. The power went out, no air. The toilets backed up at 9 hours. We were asked to either hold it or to not flush. And 10 hours of carbo loading is not good for anyone, especially the diabetic woman on our flight. It was awful.

Anyone who has a story, please check out my site. 11 hour hostages should be compensated differently that 3 hour hostages. NOT FAIR!

JetBlue Haiku (none / 0)

The entire DadLabs production crew recently spent 18 hours in the jetBlue terminal at JFK.  It was Valentine's Day.

So we're bitter.  But when life gives you lemons, make poetry.

So we are inviting you, creative DadLabs passengers, to help us shake our puny fists at the man. Submit your poetry that decries/commemorates the recent airline meltdown in the comments here. The bitter editors at DadLabs.com will then select the best poem in each division and and award it a $50 gift certificate at our DadLabs store.

Our poetry contest has two divisions:

The jetBlue Haiku
Show the airline your 5-7-5

Or

Enter our "Roses are Red/I Flew jetBlue" category with a variation on the famous verse.
