Today in Silverjet Headlines: the Best & the Only

Just sayin'. As you know, any travel industry entity can win an award for just about anything at any time. We'd like to take this moment to congratulate Silverjet, the latest all-business class trans-atlantic airline, on winning the 'Environmentally  Aware Airline 2007' award from Britain's Institute of Transport Management. We'd also like to call them out on that headline.

You see, we get that Silverjet is trying to play up the "carbon neutral" catchphrase, but the actual name of the award was for being "environmentally aware." More importantly, it's not such a huge whoop to be the world's bestest greatest "carbon neutral" airline when you're its only "carbon neutral" airline.

Then again, the trick worked for Emirates who offer what is both the lowest and only non-stop fare from New York to Hamburg.
