2007 Awards: Worst Domestic Airline

We were this close to awarding this year's least-coveted prize to JetBlue. After the Valentine's Day Hostage Crisis, a major stock price slide and never-ending delays at JFK, the low cost carrier definitely was in the running. (And to think, JetBlue was number one last year!)

But then we remembered the legacy carrier that brought us tales of garbage-laden planes and operational meltdowns. United even got dissed by Britney Spears. Yipes. Times are tough when world's worst hotel guest won't fly with you.

And lest you think we're just singling out United 'cause they've had a tough week, remember that the airline had other similar snafus this summer.
