Another Bad Day for BA

The bad news just keeps piling on for the UK 's largest international carrier. British Airways was just named one of the least punctual airlines on the continent by the Association of European Airlines. More than two out of five BA flights arrive late.
According to the AEA's study, only 59% of short and medium-haul flights arrived at the scheduled time between July and September this year. Worse still, almost half (45%) of BA's long-haul arrivals were delayed.
The airline didn't do much better with luggage, with 30 items of luggage delayed or lost per 1,000 between July and September. For comparison's sake, Air Malta lost 5 bags per 1,000, Lufthansa lost 17 and Air France lost 19. Only TAP Portugal mishandled more bags.
All told, British Airways ended up bungling 358,000 bags in just three months. Maybe it's a good thing that you can't check your surfboard anymore.
