Airport WiFi: Get Online South of the Border

November 28, 2007 at 3:30 PM | by | Comments (0)

Contribute your airport wireless report by leaving it in comments, uploading your airport photo to Jaunted Flickr Photo Pool, or via email, and we will add it to our U.S. Airport Wireless map.

When we put together our airport WiFi map, we focused on US airports not because we're jingoistic but because it's what we know best. Fortunately, our far-flung readers give their passports plenty of use--and fill us in on what they find out there.

Tipster Mark writes from Nicaragua with info on two Central American airports. Augusto C. Sandino International in Managua, Nicaragua is now set up for wireless access, so you can check the surf report before heading to San Juan del Sur.

Another big airport in the region also has free WiFi: Comalapa International outside of San Salvador. It's a hub for TACA, so you might end up here while waiting for a connecting flight. Surfing the web will keep you from eating that extra pupusa.
