Chasing Racers is back, with a brand new Amazing Race 12 mashup. This map will update the morning after every new episode. Send along tips, rumors, gossip, locations and spoilers to our map editors, become a member and comment on the stories below and add to the Jaunted-Flickr photo pool to get in on the fray.

Remember to zoom in, out and around on the map--with so much happening in each episode, it's easy to miss a map point.

Writers strike be damned! This week, The Amazing Race picks up where we left it last week in Amsterdam. You may recall that the Lesbians were out, Ron wouldn't stop running his mouth and Gramps could barely keeps his clothes on. How could it get any more interesting?

Well, as it turns out, Ron and Christina's little fumble with a Dutch cargo bike resulted in Ron getting a hernia. That's not just bad for their chances, it's also gross. Will Lorena and Jason be able to hold on to their lead? Will Grandpa Don find new ways to slow the race? What happens when you cross two Goths and a camel?

LET'S FIND OUT

Teams must now fly to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, in West Africa. Once there, teams must take a taxi to the train station to find their next clue. There are two flights that teams can take from Amsterdam to Paris, but only one to Burkina Faso. Nate and Jen waitlist themselves on the earlier flight and manage to nab the only seats available, leaving all the other teams on the later flight. To add insult to injury, Air France announces that there is a delay (hold, please!) and the teams will most certainly miss their connecting flight, which will put them all one day behind Nate and Jen.

On the way to the airport, Vyxsin says that Kynt brings out her masculine side, while Ron realizes his crotchety ways may be negatively affecting his team, and also that running through the airport aggravates his hernia. Genius!

If you ever asked yourself why airlines pad so much freaking time into their schedules, Air France demonstrates how you can be late, but NOT late by a surprise catch-up in Paris, putting all the teams on the flight to Burkina Faso. Once there, teams take taxis to the train station where they will travel by train to Bingo, in the middle of the African bush.

While waiting for the train to Bingo, Grandpa Don calls the Salsa Sisters "feisty, hot, a little bitchy, but not bad." Look, Gramps, they're not into you... Move along! On the train, the Blondes complain about the smell and the flies, and call the train "beyond dirty". Charming.

In Bingo, which literally is in the middle of nowhere, teams hit the Roadblock, which involves milking a camel, then drinking the milk. It's an animal challenge and gross eating challenge all rolled up into one! Plus, with camels involved, you never know what's going to happen!

Lorena was feeling afraid, and her weird, funky vibes were spooking her camel. TK stays all zen-like and rocks out the camel challenge. No doubt, his calm demeanor helped him speed through what became a nightmare for several teams, especially Lorena and Jason. Vyxsin makes short work of the milking and chugs it down with Kynt telling her to swallow every drop... which is something we were pretty sure we'd never have to hear him say.

Once finished with the Roadblock, teams must then lead four camels along a marked path to a group of waiting Tuareg nomads. TK and Rachel lead the first set of camels and fellow racers astray for a few minutes before doing a little course correction.

Back at the challenge, Lorena is in full-scale meltdown mode. She is shrieking and wailing--which doesn't work so well around camels, who spook easily. Finally, after all the other teams complete the challenge, she gets her act together long enough to finish the job. Jason may still love you, but we don't!

Teams now face the Detour. Teach It has the teams teaching children ten words in English the correspond with matching picture cards. Learn It has the teams learning ten words in the primary African language of the region called More. We wish all the teams were forced to learn some of the local languages instead of automatically speaking to foreigners in Spanglish. Azaria and Hendekea speed through the Detour and are the first to head to the Pit Stop on the outskirts of Bingo.

PIT STOP
Azaria and Hendekea arrive first and win a five night vacation for two at Elbow Beach Resort in Bermuda. TK and Rachel come in second with Nate and Jen finishing in third. It is worth noting that an enormous storm rolled across the savanna during the final portions of the race, and it appears that Phil managed to re-gel and re-spike his hair for the 7th place arrival of the Blondes on the mat. Looking good, Phil!

OUSTED
The sassy latina sisters, Marianna and Julia, are out. They were a nice balance to the Blondes, and we'll miss their scrappy attitudes. We know they gave Grandpa Don a lot to think about.

NEXT WEEK
Teams put their dancing skills to the test--which might be the only thing more entertaining and unpredictable than camels--and the Blondes emerge as enemies. Will they screw the other teams or be screwed? Find out next week. See you then, race fans!

No more ice princesses?!

I can't believe Lorena managed to keep her team in the race... And when are the goths finally going to get the boot?

Goths

All it will take is one hopelessly WASPy challenge, like something at a country club/golf course...or a Presbyterian luncheon.

Note to Vyxsin: buy a vowel (heck buy two and give one to Kynt) and also, P!nk called...she wants her hair back.
