Fire Engulfs London 2012 Olympic Site

November 12, 2007 at 9:20 AM | by markj | 1 Comment

A black plume of smoke is covering London today, as an east London warehouse on the 2012 Olympic site burned. The blaze broke out in the industrial area of Stratford on the construction site for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

No one has been reported hurt, and one railyway line has been closed because of the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, as is the extent of the damage to the 2012 Olympic site.

    Summer Olympics

What a shame! I can only imagine how this and all of the other things that go along with the olympics will affect our London Transportation Systems and impact the fine Hotels London has to offer. I guess with this economy, we must take the good with the bad and hope that all works out well.
