Boing Boing TV Coming to Virgin America

October 8, 2007 at 9:31 AM | by | Comments (0)

Guess while we were liveblogging Virgin America's first flight, the Boing Boing crew was pounding out a deal with Charles Ogilvie. Boing Boing TV is set to debut on VA in November.

Plans call for a daily three- to five-minute show covering the same mix of gizmos, geek stuff and news that makes Boing Boing the internet's second-most popular blog. Right in sync with VA's attempt to be Airline 2.0, the video will have a Creative Commons license authorizing sharing with attribution.

Boing Boing editors Xeni Jardin and Mark Frauenfelder will host the video reports, which will be available on demand through the in-flight entertainment system. Of course, once VA's in-flight WiFi is up-and-running, you'll be able to watch BB TV the old-fashioned way: Through an RSS feed or on iTunes.
