Movie Set Travel: The Heartbreak Kid

It happens to the best of us. You meet someone, think she's great and then she turns on you. Luckily you didn't marry her, like Ben Stiller in this week's pick, The Heartbreak Kid. Stiller marries who he thinks is a catch (Malin Akerman), and quickly finds out on their honeymoon she's gone nuts.

Of course he manages to meet the real girl of his dreams while on the same trip and has to figure out how to get rid of his wife for his new lady.

The movie was shot in both LA and San Fran, but some of its prettiest scenes in Mexico. To that tune, we offer you some great things to check out south of the border in San Jose Del Cabo:

Where To Stay: Casa Natalia -- A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Casa Natalia has just 16 rooms tucked away in a secluded enclave of palms, waterfalls and beaches. The well-reviewed restaurant La Cocina is on the premises and rooms offer private patios and king-size beds.

Where To Eat: Pitahayas -- Head to the Corridor and dine on some of the area's most delicious Asian-influenced cuisine. Right above the beach, Pitahayas offers dishes like lemon beef tenderloin and scallops with a sweet chile glaze. Be sure you dress up, as they don't do casual.

What to See: Plaza Mijares -- Everyone mingles in this central plaza to take in local art shows and concerts or to take a break on the shaded green benches, staring up at the twin spire cathedral.
