From Temples to Autopsies in Thailand

When beautiful temples and great nightlife all become passe for you in Bangkok, don't worry: There's one more tourist destination that will either fascinate or disgust you. It might be a little off the beaten track, but the Museum of Forensic Medicine in Bangkok is slowly grabbing a spot on the radar.
And why not? We're all secretly interested in this morbid stuff and this particular museum is overflowing with really unusual exhibits. From the surgical instruments used in the autopsy of a murdered Thai king to bullet-scarred heads preserved in formaldehyde to a massively swollen testicle, there's something for everyone who loves to watch CSI.
If you tend to get a bit queasy we recommend you sit this one out, but for all those strong-stomached travelers out there, the Bangkok Museum of Forensic Medicine might just be a highlight of your Thailand trip.
