Skybus Cutting Three Flights

Those Skybus rumors are true: Starting January 6, the airline will cut three of its five West Coast flights.
Citing the cost of jet fuel, Skybus will stop service between Columbus and Bellingham, WA ("Seattle") and will cut service between Columbus and Burbank, CA. On March 6, flights to San Diego will stop.
With planes freed up by the service cuts, the airline will be able to refocus on its East Coast operations. CEO Bob Diffenderffer says the next few weeks should bring "significant announcements," which could mean anything from expanded service out of Greensboro, NC to flights to Cancun and the Bahamas.
And to think, we were just getting into the trend of low cost carriers flying long haul routes.
