Surfing in Hawaii :: Ladies First

Sure, the Boys of Summer get all the press but it'd be a sin to overlook Hawaii's women of the waves. Exhibit number one might be Margo Oberg, one of the few female Big Wave legends who just so happens to run the aptly named Margo Oberg Surf School.

Margo and her staff put beginners and rising stars alike through their paces at Poipu Beach on Kauai's beautiful South Shore. Margo's been teaching in Kauai for thirty years, sharing the skills and love of the waves that have propelled her to seven World Championship titles.
