Skybus Flight Reviews: Four Months Later

It's been four months since Skybus started flying people around for as low as $10 and we've heard plenty about the airline. From good to bad, our readers have chimed in. And we had a decent time on-board ourselves. Not that we were expecting much: Our flight from "Boston" (Portsmouth, NH) to Columbus cost less than a cab ride from the airport to our hotel.
Besides the price, what do our readers like about Skybus? Jaunted member GoBucksDave says:
They do a great job! Every member of the staff (in flight and on the ground) was polite, courteous and friendly. Our outgoing and incoming flights were either on-time or early! In fact, the whole Skybus attitude and experience was quite refreshing.
But not everyone was so thrilled. Member mm says:
Skybus is a disaster...I paid more for my next trip to avoid ever dealing with Skybus again. The ticket agents clearly had no idea what they were doing, and they made no effort to hide this. They also made no effort to be friendly. I won't even go into the misery of the confusion at the gate, the late departure, the trouble getting our luggage, etc.
Opinions among those who haven't flown the airline generally fall into two camps: "I'd never ride that flying chicken bus" and "I don't care how bad it is for 10 bucks." Member tc in dc sees both sides of the story:
I guess there's plenty of room in the sky for all tastes...If I'm traveling, especially on someone else's nickel, I'll probably get on JetBlue, AirTran--or maybe even the new Virgin America; and let the Wal*Mart crowd walk in the rain across the ramp to sit on a 3D version of the Home Shopping Network. Despite my preconceived contempt, though, I am watching Skybus carefully.
