UNESCO Goes Psychedelic

September 5, 2006 at 9:45 AM | 0 Comments

World Heritage Tours wants to blow your `effing mind, folks. That's right, they've undertaken a project to photograph all of the registered UNESCO World Heritage sites in spectacular 3-D! OK, not like, put on your 3-D glasses at your desk 3-D, more like, 360 degree photography using Quicktime 3-D. Still, it's pretty cool to see these famous places from a panoramic viewpoint.

Since getting a UNESCO designation is easier than winning a Video Music Award these days, the documentation is going very slowly. They currently have completed about 19% of the project, with 161 or the 830 sites finished. They're a non-profit, so please take a look and support them if you can. In the meantime, we'll let the Grand Place in Brussels (and other fab destinations) take us on a journey to the center of our mind.
