Sean Penn Costs Hotel $540

Sean Penn evocative puffing on a cigarette at a press conference last week cost Toronto's Sutton Place Hotel $540. Penn was at the hotel last week promo-ing his new film All the Kings Men, answering questions from reporters, and idly lighting up.
Little did he know that in the province of Ontario, smoking is banned in all enclosed public places. Penn somehow escaped the whole thing with a written warning, but the hotel had to cough up $540 to the Ontario Health Ministry. A spokesman for the ministry said, "We don't have a system in Canada where we have preferential treatment for someone who's famous or rich." Um, but Penn walked away paying nothing, so, um, it kinda seems like you do. Time to clarify, Canadians!
