Good Fare: Romania Mania!

Good Fare: Rome-Bucharest, $35 RT on SkyEurope

As part of their Go East marketing campaign, Central European low-cost carrier SkyEurope will begin flying a route between Bucharest, Romania and Rome's Fiumicino airport at the beginning of next year. To aid in the promotion, the introductory price on the fare is one euro cent, which works out to roughly $35 dollars once you factor in taxes.

Of course we love these super cheap deals, and SkyEurope is one of the best LCC's in Europe. (even if Wizz Air will always have the best name in the region) Plus, we still feel that Bucharest is an emerging hot destination, just as soon as people get bored with Croatia and the Romanians take care of the whole roaming packs of feral dogs thing. SkyEurope will also offer service between Bucharest and Budapest, if you're into that kind of thing.
