Cafeteria dans le Plateau

Cafeteria is an obviously trendy, almost always open (8am - 3am) Plateau go-to hot spot for both Montreal inhabitants and visitors. Located on St-Laurent, smack dab in the midst of Plateau madness, alcohol has a tendency to skew patrons food, ambiance, and service critique. For example, when we asked a fellow dinner guest how his meal was he exclaimed:

The fried calamari is excellent and I think the waitress digs me. Yes, she is very hot, so my food judgement might not be 100% unbiased.

Um, yeah, while it is almost impossible to take the review of a drunk patron at face value. It is definitely impossible to do so when said drunk patron thinks the obviously out of his league waitress was into him.

For the record, the steak and fries dinner was also extremely tasty...then again so was the Jack & Ginger. Ah, hell, you go to Cafeteria for dinner and try not to drink with your meal. Booze aside, this place is a little pricey, but definitely worth it if you are looking for an unpretentious Plateau scene restaurant that is almost open 24/7.
