LA's Koreatown has gotten some press recently as being the newest hip neighborhood, but that comes with a huge caveat: For instance, Le Prive may be the hottest club in town, but you're not getting in there.  Nicolas Cage can, and will, get in there (K-Town's a favorite of his), but you or any of your prole friends won't.  Don't feel bad, though, it's probably not worth the cost of table service.

So where in K-town are you to go?  May we suggest Brass Monkey, a very old karaoke place on the ground floor of an office building.  There's quite the array of patrons on any given nights, from Korean gangs and the requisite hipsters to old timers who know what songs they'll sing--in what order--and which waitress they'll be singing to. Good times.
