Palm Springs! Dinah Shore Drive, Bob Hope Way; we dare you not to choose this as one of the hippest, most au courant destinations on the block. OK, so maybe that won't fly. But it's still cheap to get there from Atlanta thanks to American's sale fare of $219 RT with taxes. Only a one-night stay is required, and many dates remain open.

There's a little bit of chic in PSP, if you want to pony up the dollars to stay in Le Parker Meridien Palm Springs; otherwise go ahead and golf to your heart's content. When we say desert, golf is certainly the first thing that comes to mind.
