Bestival: Quit Clowning Around

Looking for the perfect weekend to end your European summer? Head to Bestival. The rock music fest is scheduled for September 8th to 10th of this year, and takes place near Newport on the Isle of Wight, off Britain's southern coast. Dozens of great bands'll be there, with the Pet Shop Boys headlining. The 2005 festival, themed Cowboys and Indians, broke the Guinness Book of Records previous best for the biggest fancy dress party.
But watch out this time round: Bestival has had a hiccup with its clown theme. It seems that too many of their potential guests suffer from coulrophobia, or fear of clowns. Really. So they've revised their fancy dress guidelines and clowns are out. "In" are:
maybe a wig, some mascara, bunny ears, a Spam tin outfit, some clown shoes, an astronauts helmet, a witches hat or just a plain old Buzz Lightyear lycra all-in-one.So looking like the crazy guy shouting on the nearest streetcorner is fine, but beware of clowns. They're not as funny as you think.
